Article Submission Help: Should You Use PLR Articles for Article Submission? by Kathy Roberts

Three years ago, I left my executive management position at a big corporate office to become a work-at-home-mom. I got tired of the long hours. Business trips were no longer fun. I wanted to spend more time with my husband and two kids. Working from home afforded me the opportunity to make more money and still have plenty of time to see my children grow up.

When I first started my home business, article marketing was just becoming popular. There were only a few article directories. Now there are thousands. And, because article marketing has become so popular, others have started schemes like selling private label rights (PLR) articles that will only help make them rich -and leave you in the dust.

5 Reasons Why I Don't Use PLR Articles for Submission - And Neither Should You:

1. PLR articles are not written in your "voice." Someone else other than YOU writes these articles. In most cases, the people writing these articles are NOT even experts in your area of expertise. They're haphazardly throwing ideas together that they found on other websites. If you want to gain expert status you need your own ideas, writing style and tone. You need to add your own personality so people can connect with you on a more personal basis. People are more willing to buy from people they trust. And, don't even attempt to tweak an article that someone else has written in order to match your style. You will wind up, completely rewriting the article. It's simply much quicker if you write your articles from scratch

2. You would be attaching your name to an article that anyone else in the world could attach their name to. And it can show up anywhere. In other words, the same exact article that names you as the author can appear anywhere else online or offline with someone else's name on it. Is that the image you want to create for yourself?

3. Google and Yahoo do not like duplicate content. Many PLR sites have 500-1,500 members. This means that you are not getting exclusive PLR rights. Hundreds of other people are going to use the same content and submit them online. There's only so much of the same content Google will show. Do you want to risk being penalized?

4. You will not get republished. Editors of websites, ezines and blogs want original content that proves you are an expert. They don't want regurgitated content.

5. The article directories frown on PLR articles. In fact, the best article directories ban them. And, as you know, article directories have become the number one way to distribute your articles.

So, take the time to write your own articles. If you need help, there are e-bBooks and information products all over the Web that can help you. For example, check out the PR LEADS A to Z Article Marketing System at: www.BroadcastYourArticles.com
